The Purdy & Barker books are stories written by Timo Parvela about friendship, recognizing and accepting differences. The characters and stories, familiar from the TV Christmas Calendar, describe the joys and difficulties of living together, without shying away from humor and tears.
In the Purdy & Barker story concert, we hear stories presented in many ways. The concert includes storytelling, drama, dance and, of course, music which is composed by Iiro Rantala. It is suitable for all ages (recommended for ages 6–12), and there is no limit to the size of the audience. The story concert lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Lotta Kuusisto, Maukka, is originally a dancer-choreographer, and in that capacity she has worked as a provincial artist in Mikkeli and as a choreographer, for example, at the Savonlinna Opera Festival and the Finnish National Opera. Over time, she also became a singer-actress, whose humorous dedication to her work has been admired, for example, in various productions by the Helsinki Music Theatre Kapsäkki. Children's concerts are an important part of her field of activity, often also as Lotta, without Maukka's clothes.
Paavo Kerosuo, Väykkä, is known for his diverse roles in Kapsäkki. His stage appearances have also included Svenska Teatern and Helsinki City Theatre, where he rapped himself into a favorite with children and adults in the hit musical Risto Räppääjä, written by Sinikka and Tiina Nopola and composed by Iiro Rantala. Paavo Kerosuo has acted in several films and TV series. As a voice actor, he has given his voice to many cartoon characters, including Simba in the Disney film The Lion King.
Niko Kumpuvaara is a member of the music theatre Kapsäkki and works as a musician regardless of genre boundaries. He has especially worked on new accordion music. In the field of rhythm music, his most active ensembles are the Finnish pop music legend Dallapé and GG Caravan.
